MISSION:
The Fort Mojave Vocational Rehabilitation mission is to support American Indian people with disabilities on their journey toward successful employment.
SERVICES AVAILABLE:
- Counseling and guidance
- Medical services and equipment
- Additional assessments through medical specialty exams, psychological and vocational testing, as needed
- Vocational training and education
- On-the-job training (OJT)
- Referral to other community resources
- Telecommunications, sensory and other technological aids and devices
- Transportation assistance for job related activities
- Assistance with maintenance costs
- Job development and placement
- Supported employment services, including job placement and job coaching
- Job seeking skills training
- Work tools, equipment and license fees
- Work clothes, uniforms and safety equipment
- Personal assistance services
- Services for family members
- Self-employment services
- Post employment services
Funds are not available to consumers until their program has been developed in the form of an approved Individual Plan Employment
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
- Must be a member of a Federal or State Tribe or an Alaskan Native
- Must have an impairment that is keeping an individual from work or school
- Must live in the geographic services area of Mohave Valley, AZ; Needles, CA; or Laughlin, NV
- Require vocational rehabilitation services to gain or maintain employment
- Must be able to benefit from vocational rehabilitation services
- FMVR does not service descendents
- Eighteen years and older (full services) Individual Plan of Employment (IPE)
- Fourteen years to eighteen years (transition services from school to work) Individual Education Plan (IEP)
- Zero to fourteen years (provide resources)
